The NHS e-Referral Service which replaced Choose and Book provides an easy way for patients to choose their first hospital or clinic appointment with a specialist. Bookings can be made online, using the telephone, or directly in the GP surgery at the time of referral.
If your referral is appropriate for the e-Referral Service, you will be given a token by your GP with details of the number to ring to book your appointment.
