New Procedures @ Shap Surgery
From Monday 12th June, the Doctors at the Surgery will return to a pre-COVID appointment system, where appointments can be pre-booked up to two weeks in advance and there will be no telephone triages. The appointments will be either face to face or by the telephone, and the Receptionist will ask the patient which appointment type is most suitable for their problem.
Same day appointments are intended for problems that need to be dealt with as a matter of medical urgency. We ask patients to phone early in the day if they genuinely require one of these appointments.
Shap Surgery – Dispensary
Medication will be available to be collected from Dispensary at Shap 3 working days after the prescription has been handed in. Patients will receive a text message to confirm their medication is ready to be collected. The opening hours for the Dispensary is as follows:
9am – 1.00pm and 3.00pm – 6.00 Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri
9am – 1pm Thurs
Orton Surgery
We are pleased to say that since the beginning of May we have introduced Nurse appointments for chronic disease reviews at Orton. These are pre-booked appointments and are available to all eligible patients. Medication remains to still be available for collection every Tuesday between 10am and 11am.
Protected Learning Dates
Shap Surgery and Dispensary will be closed for training from 1pm on the following dates:
- Thursday 15th June 2023
- Wednesday 12th July 2023
