Surgery Equipment Fund

    Updated 15th March 2023

We have a surgery equipment fund for all donations received, which is maintained by some of our patients for the benefit of the practice.

The money donated to the surgery fund is greatly appreciated as it enables us to buy equipment that would not normally be available to a small surgery.

We try to buy equipment that will be of benefit to the wide range of our patients, and we also include items which can be used by the nurses and midwife’s out in the community.

From donations received, the equipment fund has been able to purchase the following equipment over the years:

  • Fridge data logger to ensure the fridge temperature is kept within a safe range for vaccines
  • Stable Stadiometer for mobile height measurement
  • Induction loop at Orton – helping patients with hearing aids
  • Heart Scan machine which fits in a pocket to help detection of heart failure
  • Portable oxygen for the Doctors’ cars
  • Replacement defibrillator and pads
  • Carbon monoxide machine to check volumes of carbon dioxide in patients who smoke
  • Service of our spirometer machine
  • Regular replacement cuffs for the 24 hour BP machine

Our sincere thanks to everyone who has helped us make these purchases possible.
